Hand-crafted & hand painted in Sri Lanka, A Day at the Zoo enjoys the Toys with Integrity distinction. Every toy in this collection has been thoughtfully produced. That is, every step of production is scrutinized to insure the product has as little impact on the earth and its inhabitants as possible. This includes using earth-friendly materials, paying workers fair wages and minimizing the transportation of materials. Made from eco-friendly plantation grown rubberwood, each piece is individually hand cut with a jigsaw, sanded smooth, then sprayed with 3 layers of bright, child safe paint to make it durable, easy to clean and colorful.
